Job Description
The Planning Engineer will take responsibility for effectively delivering a range of tasks to high quality standard and aid on a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions.
Handles commissions of varying sizes, depending upon the complexity of the project. Can work as part of a larger team or as the key day-to-day contact point with the client.
Help to set up the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameter, project governance, project planning, processes, and systems to be used throughout project.
Candidates should preferably have experience in the Oil and Gas sector with knowledge of all aspects of a project such as Civil-Structural and Electro-Mechanical Engineering.

Included But Not Limited To
- Collaboration with key stakeholders for accurate and timely updates on the projects engineering, procurement, and construction phases, will be key to the project’s success.
- Prepare and maintain the project Basis of Schedule
- Establish and manage the project master schedule for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Apply resource loading for establishing optimal crew/staffing plans.
- Calculate and manage Earned Value KPIS and progress tracking with S curves.
- Learn and implement the scheduling specifications of the owner.
- Coordinate the project progress tracking with the GC in all the stages of the value chain.
- Ensure the project schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure and interface to the controls systems for progress / forecast updates and analysis.
- Establish the project critical path and continue to analyze and report throughout the project.
- Incorporate any required scope changes and trends into project schedule.
- Analysis of impacts and deviations and proposition of mitigation measures
- Provide client and internal weekly, bi-weekly/monthly reporting inputs of plan vs actual and any forecast mitigation strategies.
- Comply with relevant Owner policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture or related.
- A minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Advanced experience with the MS Office Package (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Primavera P6.
- Fluent in English.
