GLOBAL MEDIA SENIOR MANAGER – Strategy Western Hemisphere

The Global Media Team is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Media Strategy West based in Sao Paolo Brasil to partner with the local market teams across the Western Hemisphere to develop and execute media plans strategies and roadmaps to drive business growth.

The role sits within the Global Media Team who are based Amsterdam, reporting directly to the Global Head of Media Excellence. You’ll be working in with a diverse team across the various countries, brands and categories.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive excellence in Comms & Media strategy across Western Hemisphere (not including USA and Canada) brands and categories; driving effectiveness and efficiency and leaning in to support clear strategy brand plans to drive business growth and represent the priorities of the market to inform the Global Media annual agenda and roadmap.

In brief, you will be responsible to

  • Influence creative agency ideas to ensure content being developed is fit for platform and adhering to best practices
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all KHC Western hemisphere Markets inclusive of key growth markets such as Mexico, Brasil and Hispanics
  • Coordinate media needs and data and technology agenda across markets to influence Global Media agenda
  • Advise on market level tactical media plans to ensure best practices and elevated strategic approach
  • Ensure zone level adoption of global media best practices and measurement and learning agenda priorities
  • Represent zone level needs for media in annual agency evaluations and trouble shoot market level agency operational complexities as needed

Unlock & support media and digital capability within local markets

Design and own routines with local media and marketing teams, ensuring effective implementation of strategies and collaboration

  • Coordinate annual planning approach for media recommendations across markets in annual planning, resource allocation and performance readouts
  • Champion the market and zone level needs and priorities to co-build and influence global media roadmap
  • Serve as a member of the extended Global Media Leadership team & to help share learnings, build community and advance media capabilities at KraftHeinz, & bring this to the Emerging Market Growth leadership team, where the role will also sit.
  • As applicable, serve as liaison and advisor in local market media agency scope of work and resource discussions.

Professional Attributes

Ability to speak Portuguese and Spanish fluently

  • 7-10 years agency or brand side experience building media strategies and tactical plans
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence in a cross functional model inclusive of agency, creative, finance and other key disciplines
  • Experience working with both digital and traditional media channels inclusive of display, social, video (TV, OTT, YouTube), search influencer
  • Effective strategic thinking skills across channels and business objectives
  • Strong communication versatility to work across a broad spectrum of KHC cross-function teams and varying levels
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and be an individual contributor on a variety of tasks
  • Organized and able to handle several projects concurrently
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines; high degree of productivity necessary
  • Ability to work independently
  • Results oriented
  • Cross-channel experience is preferred (Digital, TV, print, OOH, radio, etc.) with strong media fundamentals but knowledge in the digital space is the most important
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills- ability to simplify and connect with people
  • Strong collaborator and influencer
  • Passionate about inspiring and driving change
  • Organized and able to handle several projects concurrently. 
  • Strong ability to learn new technologies and applications
  • Deep knowledge of global digital platforms. Working knowledge of emerging platforms a plus
  • Business acumen ability to operate in a wider commercial environment with stakeholders of varying levels
